Tania Sablatash - Actor
Tania Sablatash is an actor and singer. Since graduating with a BFA in acting from the University of Alberta in 1985, she has performed for companies including Theatre North West, Theatre Calgary, Stage West, Quest Theatre, One Yellow Rabbit, Calgary Opera, Glenmore Dinner Theatre, the Calgary International Children's Festival, CBC TV and Radio, Access TV, and Northern Light Theatre.
She has sung in various restaurants, clubs, fringe festivals, and shows across Western Canada.
Critics have called her "superb," "dynamic," "multi-talented," "charismatic," and "electric."
Her most recent stage appearances have been in Inventing Katrina for SoloCentric, Theatre North West's On Golden Pond, regular appearances in opera, including Filumena for the National Arts Centre and Calgary Opera, Calgary Opera’s Dialogue of the Carmelites and Sweeney Todd, and at the One Yellow Rabbit High Performance Rodeo in Kirk Miles’ Me & Bob & Bob & Me. She is also a member of the resident company of the Deane House Murder Mysteries in Calgary with Pegasus Performances. A frequent TV and Radio performer, most recent film appearances include the independent feature films Jet Boy and Freshman 15.
